Ben has been actively engaged in the field of economic development in Southern Alberta since 2013. He possesses a B.A (with Distinction – Co-op) Political Science degree from the University of Lethbridge as well as a Certificate in Project Management from the Project Management Institute. For two years he held the position of Community Economic Development Officer with Community Futures Chinook in Taber before moving to the position of Economic Development Officer with the Town of Taber in the fall of 2017.
Prior to his work in economic development, Ben held a variety of positions in the oil and gas industry in IT project management and in the post-secondary sector as a student advisor and grant writer.
Ben is a community-minded professional working with numerous boards and committees over the years including serving on the Board of the Highway 3 Twinning Association and the University of Lethbridge Student Advocacy Committee. Ben is currently a Board Member of both Chinook Community Futures and the Economic Developers of Alberta.
