Craig Dobson - Taylor Warwick Consulting
Craig Dobson has over thirty-five years of professional experience in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, specializing in research, strategic technology, and business development. Over the past five years, Craig has worked with all eleven regional economic development associations and helped communities throughout Alberta evaluate, develop, deploy, and operate world class ICT infrastructure and service sets. Through this work he has gained a rather unprecedented view of where Alberta communities are at with respect to broadband, the issues they face, and the opportunities they have to move forward.
Craig has been nationally recognized through his work on various National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada committees, is a professional engineer, and holds Masters degrees in both Science and Business Administration from Queen's University in Kingston. He is President of Taylor Warwick Consulting and a Founding Director of O-Net, Canada’s first community-owned full service Gb/s triple-play provider.
This session entertains a panel of experts from different sectors to talk about the current: state of Broadband in the province, and what is needed next to get everyone to the CRTC's mandated minimums by 2030.
