Jessica Vandenberghe - Indigenous Community Consultant
Jessica is a Professional Engineer with experience in governance and policy, developing consultation frameworks, community and public engagement, outreach programming, communication strategy, and teaching Indigenous cultural awareness and Truth and Reconciliation implementation. She has worked in oil and gas, construction, mining and regulatory industries, building off the Bachelors and Masters Engineering degrees from the University of Alberta. She currently is an Indigenous Community Consultant for Urban Systems and is passionate about helping communities thrive. She is a mother of two and a long-time youth outreach volunteer, an advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion, and a believer in continual improvement.
This panel will speak to the current situation, projected trends and ways to share resources with your local business owners on how to engage and attract women into STEM fields whether that is as a new startup venture or career path.
